Sherry Gordon-Harris is a Certified Etiquette Consultant and CEO of Royal Purpose School of Etiquette, LLC. which is a school that teaches children and adults proper etiquette in areas such as Chivalry, Table Etiquette, Business Etiquette, Sitting and Walking Gracefully, Greeting and Communicating Effectively. Tea Party Etiquette, Increasing Self-Esteem and more.
Sherry earned her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with a concentration in music theory from Bradley University. She has hosted in her community The King’s Daughters Princess Pageant for more than 10 years teaching young girls and boys etiquette, chivalry, and performing arts.
She taught Table Etiquette and Basic Life Skill Classes at Peoria Neighborhood House for an afterschool program for girls and boys. The program was specially titled Princess Prep School & Prince Charming Academy. Sherry planned, produced and implemented a program graduation ceremony to which the parents and community were invited. Each student received a certificate of completion and graduation gifts.
During her high school years Sherry served as a mentor for elementary students as part of a program at the Peoria Private Industry Council. She also participated in community drives to collect coats and toys for children to receive for the holidays.
Sherry is a licensed foster care and respite care provider with the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. She has provided foster care and respite care intermittently for many years supervised by a local Child Welfare Agency.
Sherry has given community presentations to older audiences. These topics include Downsize and Declutter, Fraud Prevention and Celebrating Seniors. Also, she was nominated by the Central Illinois Agency on Aging for the Dr. Jean C. Aldag Award for Outstanding Commitment to Education and Research, Health, and Social Services.
Undoubtedly her passion is educating children and adults about how to have a more refined way of living and purposeful life.
